The location is fab, right on the beach! 🏖️ Would've been perfect if the rooms weren't outdated—tiny bathroom and no exhaust fan. Our stay was chill overall, but the lack of good service disappointed me.

Castaways is a superb hotel in a stunning setting with a relaxed atmosphere. If we ever get the opportunity to return to Oz; we will be back.
It would have been nice to have a pick up from the Greyhound stop as you are dropped off late in the evening from Cairns. I would advise that you hire a car from the airport as public transport options are very limited.

The view was superb! Dinner was fantastic and delicious!Great chefs!!!
The staff most of the time had no idea what was going on. The dinner staff didn't know what a bottle of Moet was and made me feel stupid ordering one. The breakfast staff just ignored us totally and the receptionist was rude. But hey.... you get that!

Top location, to walk out onto the beach in the morning is wonderful.
We were in room 322 which wasn't the best. Will choose a balcony/beach front room next time

We had such a nice stay here! The serene beachfront and lovely saltwater pool were perfect for unwinding after our adventures. A little maintenance would elevate things, but overall, it was a lovely experience! 🌊

I liked the position of the hotel and the outlook from the room - a full uninterrupted view of a natural beach with fringing palms - these could not be bettered.
The bedroom was a little tired and needed minor maintenance but the reception areas and pool surrounds were extremely attractive. The buffet breakfast was rather sparse

The beach is amazing... we loved it. also the conutryside is fabolus too.
the water temp of the swimming pool should be regulated, it was so cold we couldn't get a dip :(
